Steeped in the late night, dirty nightclub rock concert traditions of the past. Now focused on embracing the virtual rock landscape of the future. Butt Ugly Lincolns represents a collaborative effort between two gruff and steely musicians who just want to get back to making music... but this time around they must face the dawn of a new era.
The music is real. It's the honest work of two musicians overflowing with a lifetime of musical creativity, seeping through their mundane daily lives.
The music videos? We think that our AI robot friends are the perfect partner here. We get to tell the story we want to tell with amazing visuals... and we don't have to share our butt ugly faces with you.
Focused on the music
Our scope of sonic exploration is diverse under the broad umbrella of rock music, and that is extremely intentional. Don’t try to categorize us, because we are not trying to fit inside any mold. Are we inside or outside the box?
We know something we like when we hear it, and from any riff or beat we can roll with the punches. We do not tailor our music to any specific genre, nor do we seek to develop any type of “sound” to be associated with our name. In fact, we take great strides to try to develop ideas that go against the type of music we keep in our comfort zones. We want to appreciate and explore music from all angles.
If you find any characteristics of our music that you associate with a Butt Ugly Lincoln sound, we promise that it is purely unintentional.
unapologetic creativity
The Butt Ugly Lincolns have been making music for generations. Based out of Dallas, Eric and Jared originally founded this presidential collaboration in 2008 as a zero-commitment effort for the eccentric duo to casually explore all the musical shenanigans they have found to be the most pleasing to them over the years.
We are just another two men with beards making music for personal pleasure... and sharing whimsical music videos for all to enjoy.
